Position Summary

The EbixExchange Client Services Tech is responsible for maintaining product configurations for Insurance carriers on the platform. The team also works with user groups to resolve questions, assess needs and recommend changes, prepare specifications for system changes, execute product and content changes, and perform unit/release testing and quality assurance functions. Daily duties for the Client Services Tech include but are not limited to server maintenance, design, programming, project coordination, integration, release tracking, and bug tracking.

Position Responsibilities

  • Identifies client requirements, defines scope of project and timeframes for completion, develops specifications and prepares necessary documentation
  • Translate user requirements into Software Design Documents
  • Unit test product changes
  • Perform data research and analysis to ensure client data accuracy
  • Schedule client implementations
  • Carry out product maintenance for new and existing products
  • Maintain and update client content using programming logic statements
  • Responsible for server management (setup, updates and maintenance)
  • Perform database query, update and insert operations
  • Provide technical support to clients
  • Manage client projects through the Software Development Cycle
  • Create, update and maintain internal and user documentation
  • Administer assigned defects and enhancements through the Release Cycle
  • Manage and maintain existing client relationships and expectations
  • Collaborate with users and clients on usability and functionality enhancements
  • Handle client billing and inquiries
  • Gain and maintain Life Insurance industry knowledge
  • Collaborate with clients to define, design and delivery Professional Services projects
  • Develop training materials and perform trainings

Position Qualifications

  • Relevant work experience of 1-4 years
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent amount of experience required
  • Excellent communication, both verbal and written
  • Proficiency in HTML and JavaScript
  • Proficiency with the Windows Office Suite
  • Working knowledge of Windows client/server environments.
  • Proficiency in SQL preferred
  • Great attention to detail
  • Able to work well under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Must possess strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of the Life Insurance Industry preferred, or ability to learn rapidly
  • Must have flexible work schedule
