Job Description:

The Project Manager, as a member of the Client Integration Services team, provides full lifecycle support to customers. The project manager maintains a high degree of interaction with customers and is the key contact for daily operations. This position is responsible for understanding and meeting client's requirements, and seeks, interprets and responds to client feedback while relaying the same to the development team.

Job Responsibilities

Typical tasks and assignments include but not limited to the following:

  • Supervise the complete lifecycle of an IT project implementation
  • Identify client requirements, define scope of project and solutions overview to create Statement of Work or Software Requirements Specification (or Business Requirements Document) as applicable, and develop the necessary documentation for execution
  • Develop project-specific deliverables to enable successful implementation
  • Handle multiple clients and relevant projects simultaneously
  • Manage all communications, internal and external
  • Coordinate with different teams involved in the project, across countries and time zones to develop the project requirements
  • Trains clients on use of system and other services, may assist with developing training materials
  • Support clients with their testing of change requests and platform enhancements, including investigating and resolving issues
  • Respond in a timely manner to clients’ questions about their platform via emails and telephone calls
  • Carry out product maintenance for new and existing products
  • Administer assigned defects and enhancements through the Release Cycle
  • Manage and maintain existing client relationships and expectations
  • Handle client billing and inquiries
  • Gain and maintain Life Insurance industry knowledge

Accountabilities & Performance Objectives

  • Ensure all issues raised by assigned clients are addressed to their satisfaction, per company standards, and in a timely manner
  • Review and propose changes to the implementation processes to ensure an efficient operation
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills, and the ability to represent Ebix in a highly professional and competent manner
  • Excellent inter-personal skills, so as to be able to build up and maintain effective relationships
  • Knowledge of client billing
  • Ability to plan and organize effectively and take initiatives within agreed parameters
  • Knowledge of the Life Insurance Industry, must continue to stay apprised of an ever changing insurance industry
  • Must have flexible work schedule


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent amount of experience required
  • 6-10 years of total experience, with 4 years in a project management position
  • Must have exceptional communication, presentation and writing skills
  • Ability to identify client requirements and to write software/business requirements documents with no secondary support
  • Well-defined critical thinking, analytical, problem solving, and organization skills
  • Should be able to take effective minutes of meeting and follow up on action items
  • Strong aptitudes to learn new technical skills
  • Able to work well under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Proficiency with the Windows Office Suite
  • Proficiency in HTML, JavaScript and SQL preferred
