Job Description:

The EbixExchange Client Services team acts as a liaison between the clients and the development teams by planning, conducting, and directing the research and analysis of moderately complex to complex business problems. The team provides technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective to EbixExchange and meet the client business requirements. The team also works with user groups to resolve questions, assess needs and recommend changes, prepares specifications for system changes, executes product and content changes, and performs unit/release testing and quality assurance functions.

Typical tasks and assignments include but not limited to the following:

  • Identifies client requirements, defines scope of project and timeframes for completion, develops specifications and prepares necessary documentation
  • Manage client projects through the Software Development Cycle
  • Translate user requirements into Software Design Documents
  • Collaborate with clients to define, design and delivery Professional Services projects
  • Unit test product changes
  • Perform data research and analysis to ensure client data accuracy
  • Schedule client implementations
  • Create, update and maintain internal and user documentation
  • Carry out product maintenance for new and existing products
  • Administer assigned defects and enhancements through the Release Cycle
  • Maintain and update client content using programming logic statements
  • Manage and maintain existing client relationships and expectations
  • Act as a liaison between clients and development teams
  • Collaborate with users and clients on usability and functionality enhancements
  • Develop training materials and perform trainings
  • Responsible for server management (setup, updates and maintenance)
  • Perform database query, update and insert operations
  • Provide Level III and above technical support
  • Handle client billing and inquiries
  • Gain and maintain Life Insurance industry knowledge

  • Ensure all issues raised by assigned clients are addressed to their satisfaction, per company standards, and in a timely manner
  • Review and propose changes to the implementation processes to ensure an efficient operation
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills, and the ability to represent Ebix in a highly professional and competent manner
  • Excellent inter-personal skills, so as to be able to build up and maintain effective relationships
  • Maintain working knowledge of Windows client/server environments
  • Mastery of the WinFlex Illustration Platform and Tools
  • Knowledge of client billing
  • Ability to plan and organize effectively and take initiatives within agreed parameters
  • Knowledge of the Life Insurance Industry, must continue to stay apprised of an ever changing insurance industry
  • Must have flexible work schedule


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent amount of experience required
  • Prior supervisory knowledge and skills
  • Must have exceptional communication, presentation and writing skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • Able to work well under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Must possess strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Working knowledge of Windows client/server environments.
  • Proficiency with the Windows Office Suite
  • Proficiency in HTML, JavaScript and SQL preferred
